Maitland auto centre: honest and trustworthy! concerned at the faint "cracking" noise my ford fiesta was producing when manoeuvring at very low speeds, and having been quoted a cost of £500 at another garage to rectify the issue, i thought to seek a second opinion. a friend said she had heard good reports about maitland auto centre. so, as a first-time customer, i booked the car in for assessment and cost, without mentioning the previous quote. imagine my surprise, and relief, when experienced darren said he had given it a thorough examination and couldn't find anything obvious or unsafe, with the suggestion we allow it to develop further before considering a remedial repair. a very common sense approach! the opportunity had been there to take advantage of me as a customer. this refreshing experience has engendered my complete confidence in the staff at maitland auto centre and i will be sure to make everyone i meet aware of the trustworthiness of this independent, local garage that on merit deserves to thrive. i know where my m.o.t.s are being done in future!
