The attention to detail with mcintosh was what i liked. after an initial email asking for a quote, i received an email advising me that someone would phone me. guess what? i did get a phone call. how often do you get tradesmen calling you back? james came out the following day and duly quoted me on the spot. james is a very likeable guy and we felt very comfortable in his presence. james came out and did a fantastic job, clean and tidy accompanied with a great choice of music whilst he worked. unfortunately i had a heart attack whilst james was working but we felt comfortable enough to leave him unattended. all in all a very happy experience with mcintosh painting etc and in particular the way james carried out the work. would i use them again - a resounding yes.

The wife and i used mcintosh for a large renovation project for our 1890s victorian semi-detached. throughout the whole process, from quote to finish, our painters jaymes and (younger) jaymes have been fantastic. both were very polite and professional whilst on site, and the quality of work has been fantastic. they took a house that was in a sorry state and turned it into a home. the wife and i cannot thank them enough for the stellar job done. needless to say, if you are reading this and have an older period property, you would be in the safest hands with mcintosh - jaymes had done his homework on this property, looking up the history of the building and he had thoroughly and thoughtfully helped preserve and enhance all of the period details. in our case, they restored many of the... questionable style choices back to a modern-traditional feel.

I contacted this company so that i could whitewash a flat to get it ready for selling. the gentleman, chris, who did the work was amazing! he took a grotty looking flat and turned it into a clean white haven. really recommend this company - chris was also bang on time for each meeting, explained exactly what was getting done and went above expectations. great work all round.

Chris and james did a great job with various painting and decorating jobs inside and on the outside of my house. they were punctual and professional and their work seems of good quality. i am delighted with the work they have done and would absolutely use mcintosh painting & decorating again.

James and his colleague were fantastic from start to finish. extremely helpful, trustworthy and even hoovered afterwards. there were a couple of totally unrelated issues ( not to do with decorating) that james noticed and helped with. couldn’t fault them. lovely job, they painted the whole of my flat. thoroughly recommend. shaun was really helpful too !
