Been going here for well over a decade now. great music and the vibe is consistently mint. like there was a fight tonight and nobody really cared. you won't find a better pub in durham.
Nice old school metal bar, free jukebox on a weekday and serving pints of gamma ray too. lovely staff. up a pretty steep hill that catches you out after a few ales.
Often described as the only alt pub in durham, the angel has a great punk style and nice beer garden with decent views because it's higher up :) definitely add to your pub crawl.
