Really lovely shop with a great variety of sweets and breads. Their lemon cupcake might be one of the best I’ve ever tasted (no pic because it’s already eaten haha). Everything is fresh and tasty and staff are warm and friendly.

I always enjoy the cakes, cookies and brownies whenever I visit. I’m not a big fan of the cookie dough, but I think that’s just me being fussy! Everything else is top notch. Deffo recommend visiting!

Found this outstanding bakery during my recent trip to Edinburgh for the Fringe. They are not only gluten-free, but they also cater to vegans, with lots of fabulously tasty options. I left with four different cakes to try and share, each were absolutely delicious and enjoyed by everyone (even the non-vegans). Definitely a must when visiting this beautiful city. Highly recommended.

This was pretty good! As a coeliac and vegan, it was bliss to find a 100% gluten free bakery that also offers quite a few vegan options. It was hard to choose as there were quite a few options and everything looked appetising, but I went for the chocolate brownie chunk in the end, which was very sticky and luxurious. Paired really well with my soya latte. I also bought a couple of cheesy tikka scones for my flight later on that day. Great to see even the savoury offerings had a vegan option. It was a bit dry, but I’m sure it would have been great if heated in a microwave prior. All in all, if I ever visit Edinburgh again, I hope to visit this place quite a few times. Could do with some sitting area, but highly recommended nonetheless. And although I didn’t manage to see it, they have a dog!

Can gluten-free, soy-free, dairy-free baked goods be yummy? Yes, they can at Sugar Daddy’s Bakery. We loved the lemon blondie (not too sweet) and the sea-salt caramel sandwich cookie (very sweet, super smooth filling). My companion had the white chocolate pecan giant cookie and recommends it! The coffee has scope for improvement, consider changing the roast. Looking forward to try some of the savoury gluten free options and the lovely bread. With gluten intolerance becoming more frequent, this bakery will surely grow in success.
