The staff are super friendly. i brought my bike in without an app and they did a quick assessment, gave me tips. i was able to get the tires inflated for easier transport home before coming back for the proper appointment for a more thorough check and tweaks.

The most helpful bike shop i've ever been in. went in just for advice and 3 members of staff spent 15 minutes helping me out with all my questions. there are far closer bike shops to where i live but i'd happily make the extra effort to return to biketrax.

Biketrax is the best place to rent a cycle in edinburgh!! i've rented from them numerous times over 10+ years and done many miles both in town and in the highlands and never had a single problem. luke the owner, the mechanics and the entire staff are fabulous and knowledgeable and friendly. i live in nyc and have frequented dozens of bike stores for buying and repairs as well as hiring bikes for visitors, and i wish luke would franchise to nyc! stop your cycle search and come to biketrax.

I hired a bike here last year and did the same again this year as the bikes are great and the staff friendly. cycling is a great way of seeing the wider city, but unfortunately edinburgh no longer has a bike hire scheme and this is one of only a few places that hires. the price is expensive but i understand they have to make a profit. the website is pants and the bike hire process a little complex involving deposits and signing online forms - all slightly too much for my pea sized brain. but i’ll definitely be back next year - thanks biketrax!
