The staff is so great! everyone is extremely friendly and helpful. the rooms were nice and the views were great. only con is the wifi is garbage. we paid for the premium and still couldn’t even use it for more than a minute without getting kicked off. but, that is minor compared to all the other positives.
This hotel is in a great location. loads of options for restaurants, has a small tesco just down the road, has all the fashion shops nearby and across the road is huge park. as it's on princes street, it has all the buses and trams you need to get around edinburgh. the staff were lovely and welcoming. everyone said good morning and good evening when they saw us and were incredibly helpful when we wanted to book breakfast and dinner in their restaurant next door. if you're on the top floor (as i was) you get a great view of edinburgh castle. the rooms are clean, comfortable and warm and very quiet. the pictures on their website do need updating though as they have their restaurant now not new look next door i would definitely recommend staying here!
The rooms are clean and bigger than i expected. the breakfast was delicious! the location was ideal for us as we needed to be at the train station early the next morning. the staff member who checked us in at the front desk was helpful and friendly. the rooms can't be cooled below 19c, which is too hot for us to sleep, even in the winter. the toilet paper in the room is disgraceful! shocking! like i'm at a public toilet in the middle of nowhere, not at a hotel paying $300 us per night. there weren't tissues either, so if you needed to blow your nose, you had to use the small, scratchy squares. no conditioner or body lotion either. a bit cheap for such a high price point. i'm torn on whether i'll stay here again. probably not. it's disappointing because the rooms really are nice and the breakfast! omg it's good. but the main point of a hotel is for sleeping and if you can't sleep comfortably, it's a deal-breaker. i can buy/bring my own toilet paper, but there's no fixing the hot temperature.
I really enjoyed my stay in this hotel, the staff are really friendly and i was made very welcome throughout my stay. the location is ideal as it is so close to activities and attractions. i would recommend this place to my friends and will be rebooking to stay again soon.
Located on the main street that connects several tourist attractions, the hotel offers a wonderful view of princes street gardens and edinburgh castle (it just depends on the room). 5 minutes from the train station and easy to reach any part of the city either by public transport or even on foot admiring the architectural and historical beauty of the city. well cared for, clean and nicely decorated. the room has everything you need, including a hairdryer, iron and ironing board, coffee machine with capsules (a few capsules and something sweet) and a mini fridge. the staff is nice and friendly.
