Borthwick Decorators did a great job. They arrived on time, they were polite and friendly and the work was a very high standard. Because there were 2 men and they worked full days they got the job finished really quickly which was great. I would definitely recommend them.

David, Annemarie and their team at Borthwick Decorators, stepped up at short notice to redecorate a 2 bed holiday home in St Andrews. This took place in the lead up to The Open Championship when trades in the area were incredibly busy and I had been left in the lurch by another company. Some years back, David had decorated two large bedrooms with detailed cornices at our home in Bridge of Allan so I know what a quality painter and decorator he is. David made a sight visit to St Andrews, advised me on what was required, timescales, paint, and provided a detailed quote for the job. The project was discussed over the phone, details confirmed by email and not once did we have a face-to-face meeting - I had total confidence in 'the team' at Borthwick and managing the project remotely with them. It helped the property was unoccupied, with minimal furniture.  The paint swatches I selected from a high-end paint company were matched up by Johnstone Paint. The painters did a first class job; vestibule, open plan living and kitchen area, staircase, bathroom, 2 large bedrooms, window frames, ceilings plus skirtings and door surrounds -  job completed in 5 days and the property was left in a clean and tidy state. The house looked absolutely amazing. I would recommend Borthwick Decorators especially if you can't be on-site, you can be confident of a first class service from David and Annemarie.

Over the past 5 years we have used Borthwick Decorators for all our interior and exterior decorating work. David and the team have been consistently excellent; offering welcome advice on materials and paint, providing competitive and transparent quotes, completing work in a timely manner to the highest standard and always following up with us to ensure we’re fully satisfied with their work. No project has been too small or too large and they make a real effort to avoid disruption and mess whilst working. We would have no hesitation in recommending them and will continue to use their services in future.

They provided a very detailed quotation with options as to scope, and an indicative time frame. I was happy with both and agreed to use their services. The work was carried out as per specification and the team worked hard to complete the job quickly and cleanly.

I had all my external window frames painted by Stuart and his team from Borthwick Decorators. They took great care over the preparation of the frames, which were in a pretty awful state. Painting was carried out with precision and skill. Stuart is a perfectionist and at completion my windows frames looked good as new! Borthwicks are a very professional company to deal with and Annemarie in the office was always responsive and helpful. I am delighted to give them a 5 star review.
