The Brogue Trader T/A Loake Shoemakers

Was served by james for some brogues for my wedding and honestly the service was top notch, he's obviously very passionate about his craft and that energy spills into his service. very happy with my wedding brogues, i'm sure to be returning soon.

A very lovely shop with the most excellent service and advice i have ever had. actually my wife and i just came in to have a look. i told the clerk hat i would look around at first. nevertheless we startet chatting very friendly and were soon discussing various types of shoes and lasts. a coffee was offered too. i tried several black oxfords - never before i was assisted to get into the shoes in such an elegant and wonderful way. finally i chose a pair (the hanover, wich was a must have since we are from hanover, ger). although i might will not shop here very regulary i recieved a customer card to collect stamps for a special offer. special thanks and best wishes to the two wonderful gentlemen. we (and that includes my wife too, although the shop has only men shoes) really enjoyed the visit there.

James & joseph made my experience of buying loake footwear nothing short of heroic. nothing was too much trouble. james is a professional with a capital p. both joseph and james set an example of 5* customer care. once again thank you to the brogue trader / loake shop edinburgh. cheers will russell

I used their sole replacement service. very friendly and professional staff. i personally like the shopkeepers here more the one in the london city branch. the timescale for the repair was communicated clearly up-front and the price for the whole service was very decent. i will definitely used them again.

Exceptional selection of high quality shoes. the knowledge of the salesman was superb, from production to wearing and care of the leather, the sole and the whole shoe. thoroughly recommend this company and this shop. we even bought shoes, went to the castle and came back as they held the shoes until we finished sight seeing top class service
