Gaucho Edinburgh

Celebratory meal for our engagement 💍 Outstanding food, wonderful service and a special congratulatory treat. Lovely setting and a nice atmosphere.

Setting was elegant and pleasant. All staff very nice with the perfect waitress, Wiola. My starter was exceptional- Sautéed Prawns. My two sides were good - BBQ Baby Gem was nice but the mashed potatoes were uninspiring. My steak was a 300 gram Ancho ribeye. I ordered the steak to be cooked medium rare. It was actually cooked a bit beyond Medium. Waitress agreed it was not medium after asking me to cut more into the center of the steak. She offered to replace it but I can eat medium and did not want to trouble them. I did not say anything else other than the food was good. The Malb Susana Baltic Signature wine was very pleasing and mellow. The Dulce de leche cheesecake was very good, small but the perfect size. To my surprise when my bill came the waitress had reduced the steak price by 16.88 £. A smart salvage by the waitress!

My partner and I ate here last Sunday for dinner and had a lovely evening. Food was amazing and service was brilliant! Ray our server was the best! We had a brilliant time chatting with him! Will definitely be back :)

Gaucho is one of the best steak restaurants in Edinburgh and I absolutely love it. The food is pretty good however the service is a bit slow. The staff are super professional and lovely. If you have a special occasion, you should have Gaucho on top of your list. The truffle Mac and cheese is phenomenal and so is the Burrata.

I had a very bad experience at the London Piccadilly branch. I wanted to give the Edinburgh branch a chance. And I'm glad I did. I ordered ribeye steak Medim well. The steak was really good and tasty. The draft beer wasn't tasty as they didn't clean the beer chutes. So Noam I ordered a bottle. The service is better than their other branches… Overall it was a good experience, no regrets. Thanks.
