This is this is a great local museum. they have a fine collection of pottery/ slipware. the shop is particularly comprehensive with lots of pottery by well-known ceramic artists for sale. i visited to see the paula rego exhibition as well …
I really enjoyed my visit looking at various sculptures, which was the exhibition on during the time of my visit, i will definitely be going back down again in a few weeks when the exhibition changes. all together, it's a great place to visit if you live in the local area of just visiting.
Lovely museum. best part is that they feature local artists. very good restaurant at back overlooks garden areas. very good displays especially a replica "old bridge" upstairs.
