The Canal Inn

Called in for drink and it's a lovely traditional looking place. Staff were pleasant and it's reasonably priced. Shame they didn't have a proper ale on,though they had a good choice of other beers.

Very disappointing. We went along looking forward to a few drinks as we saw the sign outside the pub that said 'Quality Ales'. Unfortunately the pub doesn't have any ales so the sign is not only misleading but it's untrue. It looks fabulous inside with loads of character but after one drink we left to get a decent pint elsewhere.

Lovely little place steeped in history, wooden beams and warm fire creating a cozy ambience. Friendly staff more than happy to talk about the history. Good range of drinks available including tea and coffee.
