Heddon-on-the-Wall - Hadrian's Wall

Nice section of the wall, well maintained but you probably won't have to stay here long.

Excellent ladies maintaining wall. Sadly American tourists attempting to take home pieces of the wall (see photo)

Interesting that the Roman's built the wall as a border between Scotland and England. It was about 15 feet high and you wonder where all the stones went, all you have to look at is all the local buildings to see where they went.
