I think this is one of the most beautiful buildings you spot as a tourist in town, it pulls you in and make you yearn to see more of the city, well atlist it did for me. and if you're an art lover, you'll be stepping i to heaven. there's places to sit, it's en-route of the site seeing bus as a bus stop is just i front of it. a walking distance to the university of glasgow which is beautiful as well!
Nice free museum with many interesting paintings and taxidermied animals. there is a really nice selection of everything in one place. the native animal exhibit had a bit of a musty smell but everything else was pretty clean.
Amazing place. would need more than a day or multiple visits to see it all. parking on site, bus stop at front of building. not too far to walk from either partick or exhibition train stations. favourite painting has to be the dali. café on premises. free entry but recommend a donation. staff are friendly and happy to assist.
If you are interested in learning more about scotland and glasgow this is a good starting point. it’s a proud nation and has had a rich history to prove that. it may not be comparable to the museums in terms of size, you found in london, the exhibits are no less significant.
This is one of the must see museum in glasgow. it is a massive museum with magnificent art pieces and sculptures. the history of war and our forefathers is education itself. i visited it during christmas time and just outside this museum an ice skating rink was set up for winter and it was awesome.
