Busy Bee Dog Training

This should really be called Dog & People Training! Jill is s truly wonderful trainer, mentor and coach. I wanted to bring my boy up to be a happy confident puppy, so I contacted Jill to get some sessions in and quickly realised that the training was as much about what I do as what Truffles does! Jill is so warm, caring and funny, you immediately feel comfirtable working with her. What Jill will also do is set realistic expectations about your dog's behaviour, for example, you have bought a small, white fluffy dog expect some barking but helps you identify when it would be atypical behaviour. The training is fun and educational. After my 1:1 puppy training, we have 'graduated' to the young dog socialisation classes which we get so much out of. I am so happy when people tell me how well behaved they think Truffles is when we are out and about, and I know that is in large part to my early training sessions with Jill.

I've been working with Jill for about a year now. My dog is reactive and we've seen a countless number of dog trainers over the years, at first we'd seem to be making progress but after not too long the bad behaviours would return. With Jill it's like finally understanding my dog, she sends me extra materials, is always looking to take classes on the side to improve her knowledge (when she already knows so much), and her methods really work. I couldn't be more pleased with our time with Jill.

We started working with Jill over the last few weeks to help our highly anxious puppy overcome her fears. She was scared of everything from us just touching the leash while it wasn’t on her, to picking her up and changing her collar. With Jill’s advice, support and genuinely kind approach, our little anxious puppy has transformed into a largely confident little munchkin! Coming from the point of wondering whether we were the right home for her, to her becoming entirely comfortable in her new life - to this day we can’t believe the change. I cannot recommend accessing Jill’s services enough to anyone 💯

Juno and I (mostly me) had one to one training with Jill last year. She really helped me understand what it takes to be a good trainer for Juno. As a first time dog owner I had a lot to learn but with Jill guiding us we found that our confidence rapidly grew with the armoury of skills she gave us. I learned to be consistent and never to be afraid to go back to basics. We have achieved things I didn't think were possible and I continue to learn from Juno every day. I would recommend Jill without hesitation as her approach is all about enabling dog and owner to enrich each others lives. I loved Otto's input too.

Jill was recommended to us from a friend. We rescued Stan(Jack Russell/Staffie cross.) Stan was a very reactive, anxious and scared wee dog. Jill worked with us to help Stan find joy in his life. Jill taught us about using reward focused behaviour to try to support Stan.Jill also supported us to understand Stan’s body language, the cues he is giving us and how we can react accordingly. It has been very successful!! Stan is still a reactive dog but he recovers much more quickly. He can now pass dogs who are in relatively close proximity without much issue. Jill’s perfect mixture of teaching techniques to deal with Stan’s behaviour and how to read him is what makes Jill the perfect dog trainer. I would recommend Jill’s services to anyone struggling with their dog. Jill’s prices are very reasonable for the work that she puts in and her ability to support you to train/understand your dog.
