Beaumartin The Cottage

What a gem this is! We were there for a cheese night, but their standard menu comes highly recommended, and we will certainly be back to try it. Decor is sweet and seating is comfortable, tables are not cramped like other smaller restaurants! Right beside Hillfoot station - well worth a jaunt on the train from Glasgow for an evening!

Very homely restaurant, I felt like I was eating at an old friends house who is very polite and a remarkable chef! High quality and fresh ingredients; flavours of the warm crab and avocado pancakes were particularly exciting; followed by a perfect Sunday roast. The homemade ice cream was a star finish to the meal. Looks simple from the outside, but walking in you’re greeted by a beautifully traditional french theme. Lovely environment, sets a truly relaxed yet prestigious mood instantly.

Absolutely beautiful food, and a lovely restaurant setting. We loved the turmeric butter; in addition, the lamb, and the fish main courses were utterly fantastic. We were also able to relax after the meal with a leisurely Amaretto each. Thank you again.

Delicious food, incredibly friendly owner and staff. We had Sunday roast with our family, even the kids polished their plates clean - I've never seen them eat sprouts before! We'll be back
