Great building, absolutely beautiful. Interesting way to spend an hour or so wandering around the exhibitions, even saw Billy Connolly's banana boots. Set in lovely grounds and the fountain at the front is a sight to behold. Lovely.

Beautiful place with amazing history. No gate takings and you don't have to book to go in. You however can make a donation to the running of the place from just £5. It's also got a coffee shop where you can have a cuppa during your tour. Amazing staff, very helpful

Also free parking.
This museums shows the history of Glasgow and gives visitors an insight into how Glaswegians lived, worked and played in years gone by through collection of objects, photographs, prints and a film.
Greenhouse (Winter Gardens) is closed though, not sure if and when it will re-open.
There are toilets throughout the building, lifts for those who may need extra help and on the first floor there is a café.

What a (good) surprise to visit this People's Palace. It displays various themes such as the housing problem in Glasgow, WW1, the wealth brought by slavery in colonies for cotton, tobacco and sugar, socialism,etc.... The entrance is free and the staff is very welcoming and friendly. I definitely recommend it.
