Fabulous place amazing food delicious cocktails professional team we went for a girls lunch. we were welcomed with the champagne trolley 🍾🥂 so a great start. it was so hard to choose every dish sounded great and we weren't disappointed. my cod was cooked to perfection. it was too hard to decide what we liked best. there were meat options and veggie options for those that don't care for fish. the team was knowledgeable and professional. after our lunch we went to the bar area for more cocktails, we were never rushed and had the best day. can't wait to go back.... maybe with less to drink for my poor wee head! #girlslunch #seafoodheaven
Ended up disappointed. on the whole the food was really good - highlights were the sweetbreads and the scallop (yes, one) - but our main course, the dover sole, arrived and was undercooked to the point it couldn't be removed from the bone. not ideal from a fish specialist. told the waiter and they cooked it a little more but still not done properly when it came back, not ok for a 72 pound piece of fish. service was patchy, intensely helpful when we arrived and then as the restaurant filled it was a different style altogether, table not cleaned, drinks arriving after finishing our course, then being unceremoniously told to vacate our table when they were the ones that hadn't delivered our meal on time. crabshakk is a different class to our experience here, and half the price! (note i don't like not giving restaurants a chance to respond to feedback but still heard nothing from them 2 weeks after explaining our disappointing experience).
Lovely staff but nothing inspiring about the seafood dishes. seen a lot of it before so if you're wanting classic then give it a go, the cookery is excellent. just not very exciting sadly! my main course had quite a small fish portion too. also didn't like being shoehorned into ordering champagne from the trolley... nice table settings and loved the plush chairs.
Loved it. went for buck-a-shuck £1 oysters and had a great time, food was excellent, drinks were excellent, service was warm and friendly. had the broccoli and tater tots on the side and like 18 oysters - honestly could have slurped them all night! really great atmosphere and will defo go back for the al a carte menu at some point.
We visited here on a wednesday night and were very happy with our choice. firstly, the restaurant itself is very nice inside, very well kept. background music was good but not overly loud. service was attentive but not intrusive. onto the food, we can honestly say that everything we ordered was very good. well presented and tasty. the £1 oysters were an added bonus, this runs at certain times, so best checking what times to take advantage. not overly complicated or busy menu, and specials were great too overall, a great place for seafood. highly recommend.
