Gaucho Glasgow

We ate at a restaurant in Glasgow, it was pleasant to sit and the atmosphere was pleasant, although the restaurant is a bit noisy. We were seated close to the kitchen, for us it was less pleasant. Our waiter was professional and smiling but also gave us the feeling sometimes that we didn't understand anything (it was condescending and weird). The food arrived excruciatingly slowly, and between the dishes we felt that they had forgotten us... It was very tasty, but it is not certain that we will return...

We celebrated new year eve here. We chosen this place to meet 2023 and expected to be something a bit more than just a calm live music and delayed for 1 minute countdown with a slightly muted sound. We were also disappointed that the kitchen closed at 11, considering it is a new year celebration and people would like to stay a bit longer and celebrate the occasion. This was very upsetting and we did not catch the new year mood and vibe as there was none there. The food was good! Steaks were great, we ordered limo steaks. Peppercorn sauce was delicious, while blue cheese sauce was like butter…. Cheesecake was delicious and cookie dough was too sweet for us, but I think it’s how it should be. Cocktails were cool! We wish there was a bit more mood in the restaurant regarding the new year celebration (that’s why we chosen the restaurant for that evening), so that we could have given 5* for this.

Basing this review purely on the quality of the food. Ribeye steak was incredible. A beautiful smokey charred flavour, moist and perfectly cooked. Meat was lean and melted in the mouth. The peppercorn sauce was velvety rich and seasoned perfectly. Chips, truffle mac n cheese and broccoli all faultless and in decent portion sizes. Minor issues to fix in service… as we waited in the bar area we got a call from the branch to ask where we were. Prices are on the high end but if you can get a set menu or any kind of offer the food really is sublime and up there with the best steak places in Glasgow. Restaurant vibe was young, buzzy and modern and I’m looking forward to returning

Fantastic! My husband and I dined here for his birthday, and I would highly recommend it. The service was spot on, Ally was brilliant. The food was delicious, cooked to perfection. My husband even got a free cheesecake for his birthday. I would definitely go back. Well worth the money.
