James from JWP Domestic Appliance Services and Sales attended on 15th May 2026 to diagnose an ice dispenser fault on my American fridge freezer. He quoted £180 for the part, but after I found what appeared to be the same part online for £90, he reduced the price first to £150, then £125. I paid £125 for the part and £40 towards fitting, with the balance due once fitted. What followed was weeks of delays, poor communication and constantly changing arrangements. Fitting dates were repeatedly moved due to holidays, birthdays, the wrong part arriving, and then on Monday 29th June he said the replacement part had a crack in it and could not be fitted. At that point I requested a full refund. I eventually received the £125 back, but not the £40 fitting payment, despite no fitting ever taking place. The whole experience was frustrating, unprofessional and a complete waste of time. Based on my experience, I would strongly advise avoiding this company.
