Old High Church

Absolutely beautiful church and cemetery with water views. Great signage, definitely worth the visit.

A gorgeous sanctuary, a very old church, lots of history, a spooky cemetery, and a perfect place for a nap! Located right next to the river, (so go take that walk...and another nap), a block from the Town Centre, this "Old Church" is worth your time. Especially if you dig spooky old cemeteries, and taking naps...like we do! Gorgeous!

The first church service was held here about 500 AD, and this has been a site of worship since that time. The Jacobite prisoners, after the battle of Culloden, were executed either at the back door of the church of setting on a grave stone. There is a preservation effort to save the church at present.
