DoubleTree by Hilton Hull

Visited to see a show. A Frankie Valley tribute. Lovely atmosphere, the show was incredibly good, encouraged to get up and dance and be involved and have fun. Very talented artist. There was also a two course meal, which was delicious, cooked to perfection and skillfully served, very promptly. The tables dressed inventively on brilliant white table cloths. The staff were brilliant, service brilliant, front of house also excellent. A wonderful evening, with a marvellous act. Flawless

Went to the Hilton hotel for a young farmers dinner dance and had an incident where my dress ripped. So we went to the hotel reception and a lovely woman named Claire helped to fix my dress. Was so kind and understanding and did a fantastic job of fixing my dress. Couldn’t complain! The customer service was amazing and all members of staff were very lovely.

As a Hilton Gold Member, I get to see many houses around the world and their variety in quality. I was pleasantly surprised by the high standards of the DoubleTree in Hull. It starts with a fresh cookie at reception when you check in and a very friendly smile and service by Emilia who kept helping me throughout my stay with various things and always put a smile on my face with her humour. Room 113 is spacious and very clean. So is the bathroom. Despite overlooking Ferensway, a road with two lanes in each direction, it is quiet in the room. The floor to ceiling window lets a lot of light in. The bed is big and very comfortable, there's a big TV, a small table, a comfy armchair, a chair and something like a long desk a big wardrobe and ironing facilities. Unfortunately there is no fridge in the room. The gym on the first floor is also quite good. Service is generally fantastic and all members of staff are very friendly and helpful, but I would like to name two, who made my 7 nights stay special: The two Greek ladies, Niki and Thomai from breakfast (also good and ample). Both have a very positive attitude and take care of the guests and the restaurant. They are very attentive and ask if you need something from the kitchen, like an omelette. They made me a fresh orange juice every day and omelettes when I asked. They also provided information on where to go and what to see in Hull. They always find time for a little chat and made my day.
