El Toro

We didn't have the best experience as a family. Firstly, we arrived on time but waited a long while until the order for drinks was taken. Olives and bread was a long time coming too. We'd been there over three quarters of an hour at least before our tapas actually arrived. Most of the dishes arrived OK, but some were missing or duplicated and if there was a problem with one, it took a long time being fixed. We waited a long time for subsequent courses to arrive too. Food was OK. The chicken croquettes were just like mashed potato. I'm not sure there was chicken it it, there was no meaty texture and the white fish was hardly cooked with the batter being soft and fish watery. The lemon wedges were dry, no juice came out when squeezed, but the prawns were huge and tasty. One thing I didn't like was the chairs, they were so heavy and not easy to move into place after taking a seat, also some table positions weren't great. I wouldn't go again, it was too expensive, too much hassle with wrong orders and not an enjoyable venu to sit, tbh.

It was nice and quiet when we went. The food is excellent and the service good. Ambience is great, and the restaurant is really well maintained. I know tapas quantities can vary, 6 portions should be enough to feed 2 here though.

Last week was my birthday but I only managed to celebrate it yesterday. What can I say? Exquisite menu, generous portions, courtesy and informal ambience. Extreme attention to detail and every attention to all customers. I recommend everyone to try the real Spanish cuisine at El Toro! As for me, I certainly won't wait a year to go back! Thanks again.

Great food, wonderful service, fantastic atmosphere. Went here to an evening dinner with some work friends and ended up taking the all-you-can-eat menu it was fantastic. There are 30 dishes to choose from and the service did a great job of coming back to our table at regular intervals to take out order for the next set of dishes. I think we had 5 rounds of food before we threw the towel in. I will definitely visit again in the near future.

The food would have got 5 stars had the churros been fresh. Everything else is absolutely fantastic, really tasty food and well presented. Never been to this type of place before would of been nice to know what size of plates was coming out 🤣🤣🤣🤣 that's my mistake. Staff spot on ... thanks for a good night
