Beware! The Kraken have invaded, taken over the Maritime Museum, the old M&S store, even Princes Quay! I even think they maybe nesting on Monument Bridge. I think the pest controllers have been called, so the infestation should be over in time for the Freedom Festival.

Queen Victoria Square is in the center of Hull. It is raised up with seating round it giving a slightly elevated view of the city centre. Statue of Queen Victoria was designed in 1903 there are statues and carvings around the plinth. On one side is the Maritime Museum and excellent Museum showing the fishing and whaling heritage of the city. Opposite the museum is the city hall which is used for concerts and events. On the other side of the square is the ferrens art gallery both museums are free admission. In the summer there are dancing fountains coming out from the pavement. Underneath the square are some classic Victorian style toilets.
