The baklava were juicyyy this corner seems to be very popular! quite a few people lining up all the time
Have been here couple of times and to mr mackerel. got pizza and shawarma. excellent food, good value for money but the young guy at the till (average guy with a chain in his neck) is absolutely rude and arrogant. have always served us without a smile and always makes remarks behind customers backs. addressing customers as big boss and mate, "go there" "wait here" in all just a bad customer service!
Went here for a mid week lunch. the menu is nice and simple, i went for the chicken shawarma, chips and salad. the chicken tasted nice, pleasant fragrant spices rather than heat which is what i'd prefer at lunch time. the chips were pretty standard and the salad was fresh. very enjoyable and good value for money. i'd go again maybe try something else.
Absolutely delicious chicken sandwich! chicken was flavourful and bread was freshly made. chips had the best seasoning! will try the lamb sandwich next time.
Baklava is delicious, best i have had in leeds so far. it is £1 for each so a bit expensive but it's worth it because they are juicy and flavoursome. be careful when you bite into them coz there's so much juice it will spill onto your top (didn't happen to me but just warning anyone)
