Hilton Leeds City

Stopped over for 1 night with my Granddaughter, the room was fine, bed was comfy, plenty of hot water for bath and showers, we both slept really well with no noise from inside or outside the hotel. The pool was just the right size and depth for a 5year old. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice.

This was our first visit for a while, food was very good, and the staff without exception very friendly and helpful. Rooms have clearly been refurbished since our last visit and were fine. The one downside is access if you are driving, the car park is very expensive and narrow, and Leeds council has made a massive mess of the roads in the surrounding area, so much so that it took 45 minutes to finally manage to get to the hotel through all the traffic restrictions and roadworks. I would definitely recommend, but only if coming by train, in which case it is a short walk, though you do still have to navigate some of the roadworks to get there.

I've just spent four nights here. As some other reviews have said, some areas of the rooms maybe look a little dated, but don't be put off by this, as it's really not bad at all. The main thing that really stands out about this hotel, for me, was the staff. Every member of staff I spoke to really went above and beyond. What's more is that they always did it with a smile on their faces. Be warned though, drinks in the bar are certainly not cheap!! I'd be more than happy to stay here again!!
