Absolute diamond of a pub hidden away next to the city varieties. always a joy. last visit on sunday 21st may 23..wonderful pianist playing a succession of classic tunes. bar staff are wonderful and the range is excellent..

Good atmosphere, great food, great service. will definitely go again should i be in leeds. (the disabled bathroom needs a deep clean or refurb, definitely needs a mirror.)

Loved the venue, range of craft and real ales. great staff and ideal for the varieties music hall next door. a great offer of 20% off bar bills with your theatre tickets. however when ordering food were told they'd stopped serving as they were "too busy". the venue was nowhere near full so hate to see it when they weren't busy. further there was no communication or any information about food not being served, if there had we would have gone elsewhere for food much earlier. keep customers informed, it boosts repeat trade.

Went for sunday lunch. one of the best we've had. great service and great food. lots of options alongside the roast menu so it's suitable for everyone. will definitely be going again. good beer choice too

Nice pub. food and service let's it down big time though. mid week not busy. over an hour to have food served. out of 3 main meals. 1 went back...over cooked steak. burger nothing special for the money. onion rings tasted of fish....which is also on the menu. beef cheek was a kids portion at best.. tasty though. don't think we will be going back for food anytime soon. maybe call for a beer and see if things are better. nice place though.
