Easy to get to, if a bit of an odd location inside a retail park. super friendly staff throughout. rooms are clean, well stocked. lovely bathrooms, with decent sized towels. spa, pool, sauna, treatment rooms are meticulously clean. many options for facials, body treatments, ( though not cheap). lots of choices on the 4 menus,if a bit pricey for some items. decent breakfast too - table service. only downside, bar closed at 11, even to residents and they were out of both bailey's and tia maria. plenty of other choices tho.
Booked a double bedroom for one night. upon arrival the bed was two singles pushed together. receptions response was " you need to check with us before hand if you want your room to have a double bed"..... the breakfast service was amicable. wrong orders left right and centre and long wait time. alot to improve on. the spa facilities were great and the staff were too class. overall the rooms are really nice but the bed was the nail in the coffin for the review. poor value for money as a result of the bed giving me back ache..
Amazing 👏 my boyfriend took me here for a weekend break to have some me time because i'm a full time mummy, from when we got there the staff were absolutely brilliant the staff at the reception are well mannered and well educated in there roles. are room was clean and well nice, bed was so comfortable didn't want you get up! we ate there the 3 nights we were there and the food well i have no words absolutely from absolutely unreal. the staff in the restaurant were top notch too, i have to make a special appreciation to etienne because he was outstanding all weekend, well mannered, knew his job role and he absolutely smashed it. definitely will come back for another weekend away! well done thrope park hotel & spa!!!!
This place doesn’t look like much from the outside, but it is very well appointed, clean and has a fantastic restaurant. the corridors are tastefully decorated with contemporary art and everything feels up to date and modern. the spa was pleasant but be aware they do allow children of guests to use it and have certain times at the weekends when members’ children are allowed in too, this is a pity and it would be much better if the spa was adults only but wasn’t a major problem. the pool could perhaps do with being 1 or 2 degrees warmer (several other guests commented on this), they could also do with more seating to avoid ‘towel wars’. if they could get rid of the pointless area behind the windows where day spa guests take their sandwiches and extend the spa so there is more space it would be ideal. by far the best feature of the hotel is the fabulous restaurant (they ask you to book), the quality for the price is phenomenal and the service is good too, the food far exceeded expectations. breakfast was table service only rather than one of those dreadful buffets. the rooms are very comfortable with a coffee machine, fridge, safe, press the list goes on. just about everything you would want. i particularly liked the bathroom having a separate bath and shower, the bathrooms are supplied with high quality white company soap. the wi-fi was not 100% reliable but at least it doesn’t require an email address and those silly account registrations. our car parking was included.
Absolutely fabulous - this hotel was amazing. from our arrival to checkout the staff for accommodating, polite and useful. room service was fast and great, ashame we didn't get to use the spa/ pool but it looked fantastic. the beds were good, extra pillows and duvets, the amenities in the room were also great - white company. the rooms are spacious, water station and milk station on each floor which is fantastic, easy parking and safe location. overall very impressed with this hotel, if i find myself up north again i'll be sure to stay here. thank you
