Lovely atmosphere, food was honestly amazing and the best pasta we’d ever had. recommend the truffle ravioli, and the prawn & chicken penne. the desert plater was also stunning especially at only £5.50 per person. it was a shame that the service wasn’t quite 100% as both of our starters were completely missed. i wish they’d realise there’s nothing wrong with waiters & a notepad.
Good little italian restaurant in the centre of leicester. i don't know of many italian places in the city centre but this was pretty good. went for a staff night out and everyone enjoyed their meal. the staff were very friendly and they spoke italian, which is a surprise when you consider this is a chain restaurant.
Absolutely delicious! i went during mid-day where there was not much business. the atmosphere is gorgeous, pleasant soft music, not too dim lighting and adequate seating. the service was excellent, the server recommended an excellent sauvignon white to go with my food which was a great choice. i had the carpaccio to start because i love carpaccio…. the cheese seemed to be grated fresh and not a pre-shred cheese selection. this dish was fantastic altogether. for my main, i tackled the chicken calzone which was a fairly large size and definitely worth it. it was delicious, the flavors worked well and it was baked perfectly, the dough was nice and soft and the ingredients were fresh. this also paired well with my wine. if you are looking for italian food, i must recommend here.
The atmosphere in the restaurant is cosy. the food is good but waiting time for drinks and food was too long for no reason because the restaurant was half empty. the waitress was polite and apologised for bringing the drinks late not knowing the food that was yet to come would take much longer to arrive. there was a waiter talking loudly in italian to other staff. i found a hair in my ravioli lobster and they made it over again. however the sauce in the replacement dish was more garlicky. still a good dish for me but it would have been better if the sauce tasted the same. i am not sure but i was thinking that normally they don't make people pay when there is a justified complaint about the food so i didn't expect to pay for the ravioli but i did. overall nice food but the experience was not so great as i thought it would have been being an italian restaurant right in the city centre.
