16A Architecture

We recently instructed studio 16a to be our architects for a house build. from the moment we met them we knew they would be a great fit for us. really genuine and enthusiastic, with a passion for architecture. they had fresh new ideas, designs and ways of thinking. getting our plans approved was not an easy task. there was some turbulence along they way, but james and joel went above and beyond, working day and night (literally) to make our plans become a reality and accepted. we would not hesitate to recommend studio 16a for any architectural services and we will certainly be using them again in the future.

We have had the pleasure of working with both joel and james for the past 12 months. this is our first build so we did not know what to expect .. joel listened to our ideas taking in our style and family needs and the sensitivity of our 19th century property.. we were literally blown away by the 3d visuals he came back with it was a kitchen and basement extension that was above and beyond we dreamed possible. james has created brilliant plans and both have liaised with planning, engineers and builders on our behalf. the delays that covid have brought have been frustrating but unavoidable and we can’t wait to start the build in april and to know we can trust james and joel to be there throughout is a great feeling .. naomi also gave us a fantastic interior design presentation that brought the whole project to life .. would totally recommend 16a and the whole team to anyone. thank you

I employed 16a based off a client referral from a good friend of mine, myself and my girlfriend were not disappointed. they listened closely to our ideas and delivered ideas that we could not have imagined. please let them dissect your property and roll with the process and you will not be disappointed. they are also cost focused which has helped our dream become a reality, we have planning and we have a build date confirmed with a contractor that they have recommended. 16a are going to be apart of the build process. we can’t wait to live in our dream forever home. fully recommend.

I have worked recently with james and joel to develop plans for the conversion of an existing residential block to 6 new units. having previously faced challenges from planning, james helped create a scheme that alleviated all noted concerns and plans were quickly approved. i felt a genuine sense that my project was being thought about and worked on in a timely manner with regular updates and feedback calls. following on from this building regulation drawings have been generated which are extensive, well thought out and professional. i have two new projects for 2023 and am very much looking forward to working with james and joel on both.

We recently commissioned 16a architecture to help us renovate our mid-century home. joel and james immediately understood what we were looking to achieve. they have been creative, intuitive and fun to work with. the resulting plans far exceed what we were initially hoping for, a balance between remaining sympathetic to the original design whilst creating a home for modern living. we have enjoyed the whole process and would happily recommend 16a’s services to anyone looking for an architect.
