Toddies Dog Training

I’ve never had a dog and didn’t have a clue what to expect when I got my Cavapoo, Milly. I did lots of research and watched lots of videos on YouTube and ended up so confused because they all said different things. I decided that some one to one training was needed (for me, not the puppy!). I read all about Jean on the internet and decided she was the trainer for me. I purchased the silver package and we arranged our Zoom meeting where Jean gave me all the basics of things I would need before Milly arrived and what to expect. The house was all ready and Milly arrived and I was so pleased I was prepared so well because, wow, Milly certainly arrived with a bang! We had had Milly for 5 days when Jean came to meet us and we had the first of our three face to face sessions. Jean is so lovely and both Milly and I connected with her immediately. She showed me lots of things to get Milly potty trained and lots of games we could play together to bond. I’m not giving any spoilers because you should learn them from her yourself! Yesterday we finished our training. Milly is now 13 weeks old and has been with me for almost 5 weeks. She sleeps happily in her pen at night and uses our cat flap to let herself out for toilet. Maybe once a week we have a wet accident, but it really is very rare. I am confident walking with her out on her lead. Milly is a confident and happy little girl I think (hope) because she has a confident and happy hoomummy who she trusts right by her side. This is all thanks to Jean. If I had not had her by my side both physically and on the phone, I’d still be cleaning up wee and not being able to sleep. If, like me, you are new to having a dog in your life, this will be the best start you and your puppy could possibly have. Thanks Jean xxx

Jean has helped me so much with my dog, who started to become very reactive and no longer was allowed off the lead. In a few weeks Margot has changed so much, the training techniques have really got her into better habits and we can now walk without her reacting to other dogs. Thank you Jean for all of your help

I have 2 young Yorkshire terrier dogs who are my absolute world. (Bertie and Bobby). They have 2 completely different temperaments, Bobby loves absolutely everything and everyone and is frightened of nothing. Bertie on the other hand was frightened of almost everything. We were attacked by a ‘dog de Bordeaux’ when he was very young . He also has problems and pain in his back legs. The combination of these things makes him very anxious and grumpy. Since working with Jean he has definitely gained confidence and calmed down a lot in the house and I can now do a lot more things with him. When we go out he can be aggressive with other dogs, large and small. We have now identified that it is not the size but the age of the dogs. It seems that they are all very young dogs and Bertie seems to be frightened that they are going to hurt his legs when they are so bouncy and enthusiastic, as all pups are regardless of size. At least now I can avoid certain situations. Bertie is not perfect, however he is now a lot calmer and definitely much happier and confident, which is exactly what I wanted for him. I would definitely recommend working with Jean if you have any problems with your dog. I’m sure if you put the time/work in you’ll see an improvement whatever the problem. I have had a good few sessions with Jean, she really helped me understand my German shepherd Kobie and also helped me understand how my own insecurities effect his behaviour. The sessions are really informative and at a pace you can keep up with yourself, her knowledge of dog behaviour is outstanding and her calm nature puts you and your dog at ease. Me and my boy have really come a long way using all the techniques advised by Jean, I really can’t recommend her enough.

Jean has helped us with our Bailey so much already. Bailey has been quite anxious and grumpy for the last year, and Jean noticed straight away that Bailey had signs of allergies and advised us to switch his diet. Bailey wouldn’t eat his food sometimes before this diet switch which made him vomit, he now loves his new diet and devours every meal. He has become much more affectionate, giving us more kisses and cuddles. He is calmer in general and we can get him to settle easier when guests come to visit now. He very rarely snaps now as Jean has taught us how to read his behaviour to know when he isn’t happy about something. Jean’s knowledge about dogs is amazing and she really listens to what we need and personalises plans to us. She has a lovely calming nature and makes us and Bailey feel at ease.
