Portland's Fish & Chips (Under New Management)

We come from Scotland so know what good fish and chips should be like....and this ticked all the boxes. Lovely big (and that was the medium fish too) cod fillet that was freshly cooked and crispy on the outside, batter cooked to perfection) and a lot of very tasty chips, all in all, it was excellent, well done.

Contacted shop via WhatsApp to check about gluten free fish & chips availability. They were really helpful and knowledgable. Even asked if I wanted gf salt & vinegar. Ordered via Uber Eats and popped a note about dish being gf in notes (it’s not listed as an option itself but they do do it!) food arrived in given timeframe. I got a regular and my mum got a large haddock & chips. Regular was a decent portion in itself and large was big. Chips were amazing. Fish (haddock) was really good. Sometimes gf battered fish can be a bit meh but this was really nice. Loved the inclusion of lemon and a sachet of tartar sauce too. Someone else got a sausage dinner which was big too and went down well. Staff were brill. Finally a decent chippy that does gf fish & chips and delivers! Would use again!

Absolutely brilliant food, and amazing staff. Could not recommend more! Will definitely be back next time we're in Liverpool.

Excellent Fish and chips - well worth walking (40-50mins) / Driving (10mins - Free car park on site) to this place. Incredibly good portion sizes, and tasty fish. Very fresh and a very accommodating team. Do not miss this place. A really good place to eat and not far from the docks either. The man will happily give you all the condiments you need to make your meal perfect with tissues and forks too. Halal too - DO NOT MISS THIS PLACE.p
