Travelodge Liverpool Central The Strand

I don't know where to start. This hotel brought out OCD I didn't even know I had 😄. Its wasn't nice staying here at all. The staff members were helpful but the hotel is dirty. The vent in our bathroom didn't work so imagine 2 adults and 2 children using the toilet and bath, the bin in the bathroom was full, the shower curtain was very very dirty we had to ask for a change, it was changed but the new one stunk when it's wet 😖, the carpets had black stains everywhere, the chair had food stains, the window couldn't close properly and the handle was so dirty I had to open it with a tissue, there was stains ontop of our headboard, its was unbelievable!! At breakfast, all the tables were dirty we literally had to clear and clean the table with tissue before sitting. We had a heater in our room but no air-conditioning instead we had a small fan that did absolutely nothing. The bathroom is so tiny 2 adults can't be in there together. Location is fantastic! There's a Tesco right next door which helped a lot because we bought bleach and cleaning materials to clean the room and the bathroom. I won't recommend this place at all. The room smelled 👎bad too 😫. We couldn't wait to leave. The parking is another hurdle to overcome, with small children, it wasn't easy at all. It's a big NO for this hotel.

Had 2 nights here midweek. Rooms are very clean with a great shower and comfy beds. Breakfast was good with a great choice. All the staff were extremely friendly and professional. And you couldn't wish for a better location. Will definitely be returning for another visit.

Great location, right by the docks. We were on the 9th(top) floor and so had as nice a view as you can expect of Liverpools docks. Rooms are basic but it’s cheap and also quiet, shower is adequate. Breakfast was good and only £10 so very reasonable. Bed quite comfortable too.

Stayed two nights in June. Got a nice room. It all started going wrong when my girl friend tried to take a shower. Started fine then went really hot, so she had to jump out. Then went really cold. The extractor did not work & had been pulled away from the wall. We were offered another room just to use the shower. In this room the water from the shower would not drain, so had to exit shower before it flooded the room. Still with soap on. No maintenance on site. Had a drink at the bar, but the bar was so hot had to leave there and the half finished drinks. Air conditioning was turned off, cut backs i presume. Lovely staff, let down by poor building up keep. Lady on the front desk, when we left took my mobile number & said would contact me, but so far not hear anything.

Our room, a family room smells of pee. A strong smell of pee which is absolutely disgusting especially I have my 2 young kids. Reported it since we arrived. Promised someone will check right away but no one did. Requested if we can change room and they keep making excuses. Never ever I will book to any Travel Lodge again in my lifetime.
