Cracking pub hidden away from the main street. excellent selection of beers and very friendly staff and locals. miss it at you'll be sorry.

This pub gets full marks for the friendly bar staff and great beer selection. we called in for a quick last drink and were amazed when the staff remembered us the following evening on our way home from the excellent christians concert at the cavern club. (christians, please give the staff tickets to your next gig in liverpool!) this is a proper city centre pub, offering great service and not charging silly prices.

I had just arrived in liverpool and stumbled into this pub based on the good reviews. what i discovered went above and beyond anything i could've imagined. not just the best pub in liverpool, but maybe all of england! went in for a beer and stayed all day. steve is an absolute legend. you go in a stranger and leave with a family of friends! if you are traveling in liverpool, do yourself a favor, go here and ask for steve!

Had a great bank holiday saturday night with family and friends. great laugh had by all - we only dived in to get out of the torrential rain and ended up staying all night

Such a lovely friendly pub! staff were great and really good to chat to. service was quick and a great variety of drinks and real ale, top quality bitter on! was really impressed and will definitely go again, proper english pub and lots of seating too. really enjoyable and great atmosphere!
