Room was small but clean. bed was comfy and desk was good for working. hotel bar upstairs is nice to check out for the view. my only thing is that this is a very touristy location so it depends on if that is your vibe or not. i typically prefer to be a bit more removed from touristy locations but it was still a great hotel all the same.
Stayed here for a month. very conveniently located hotel at a reasonable price point. some of the staff are very friendly and make the place seem more homely. the rooms are on the small side but well kept and nicely themed. breakfast on the rooftop is of above average quality and the selection is pretty good with a nice view of the london skyline. the only knock on them would be that their lifts are way too slow, and often randomly stop at the 2nd floor for some unknown reason. wish they would get these upgraded as everything else is lovely. would stay here again.
I am not understanding the 4/5 star reviews for this hotel. i am from the u.s. and i understand that most hotels don’t have ac in europe. however, our room had no windows, no fans, and no ventilation. my husband and i were extremely hot and uncomfortable. the lack of ventilation also caused a musty smell in the room. additionally the room was not clean. the floors were filthy and the toilet had pee stains under the lid. the service was fine, but you had to call down to the front desk to request basic items like hair conditioner and lotion, which is usually provided at no cost at most other hotels. the only good thing i have to say about this hotel is the location. i hope that ihg hotels do not disappoint me in the future.
I surprised a friend by showing her this rooftop bar with an epic view. hotel indigo is located in the heart of leicester square surrounded by w, the londonere and edwardian. what set this hotel from the other hotels is a rooftop with the amazing view. on a nice summer day you can get a 360 bird's eye view of the city. it's open for the public but sometimes i would recommend to book a time. i've been here a few times and their food is always good, but this time we only came for some irish coffee. the staff are great and very attentive, when we finished our drink and waiter came over and asked if we wanted anymore drinks, or perhaps some water he said. the latter was a good idea.
