King's Church rocks! A great community of people who love to love Jesus, love to share life together and reach out to those around us. Dynamic worship, practical teaching and passionate people. Love it :)

Great music, so welcoming and a great cup of tea ready at the end. My brother goes there and I love going up to see them knowing we'll be visiting a home from home at this church.

Great place to worship, I always enjoy the music. The people are friendly and welcoming from the moment you step in till you leave. I like the fact that's there's a nursing area which is separated by a glass wall so you still feel like you're in the main auditorium and not else where especially because you can see the preacher from there too.

Three mystery worshippers visited King's Church on the 30th April. What was the name of the service? 10:30am Sunday service How full was the building? 90% Did anyone welcome you personally? Yes x3. Was your pew comfortable? Yes x3 How would you describe the pre-service atmosphere? Friendly, relaxed. Lots of families chatting to one another. What were the exact opening words of the service? "Welcome, and you should give yourselves a pat on the back for being here on time." What books did the congregation use during the service? All songs were on digital screens or projected on the wall. What musical instruments were played? Bass, rhythm, keyboard, drums. One of us really appreciated the drummer. Did anything distract you? The kids stayed in the room and were playing at the back, which was a little distracting. Was the worship stiff-upper-lip, happy clappy, or what? Very happy clappy. The background images for the words on the screens were very pleasant and vibrant. After the worship there was a 10 minute coffee break before the sermon, and fruit and pasties were offered. Someone spoke with us during this time, asking about our background. Exactly how long was the sermon? 32m52s On a scale of 1-10, how good was the preacher? We gave the following scores: 3, 4, 4.5. In a nutshell, what was the sermon about? The title of the sermon was "Disciples make disciples, that's mission". The contents of the sermon was reasonably faiflthful to the title. Which part of the service was like being in heaven? 1. Christ centred families. 2. Good energy and really nice people. 3. Very friendly welcome - nice half time break. And which part was like being in... er... the other place? The worship and sermon dragged on too long x3. What happened when you hung around after the service looking lost? It was the half time break where we looked lost and we ate a really nice Cornish pasty whilst one of the regulars talked with us. How would you describe the after-service coffee? Mid service tea was pretty good. Another thought the tea was "ok, but the Anglicans make a better brew". The third was really impressed with the Cornish pasty. How would you feel about making another visit (where 10 = ecstatic, 0 = terminal)? 4, 3, 1. Did the service make you feel glad to be a Christian? Yes. Neutral. No. What one thing will you remember about all this in seven days' time? 1. Being urged to read the Bible. 2. Memorable for being immemorable. 3. The Cornish pasty.
