I've been working for home instead for 2 years, on and off, because of family and health issues, they as a company have been so supportive and have accommodated my needs accordingly, I could never thank them enough, for allowing me to fulfill my commitments and continuing to accommodate them. We are like a family and we carry those values to each client , which makes our job worth while and the clients very happy.

The care industry often has a poor reputation and high staff turnover; usually down to poorly run companies that prioritise profit over people. Home instead South Manchester is the exact opposite! I have never worked for a company before that truly cares about their staff and equally for their clients. Lots of companies say they do but Home Instead really backs it up. They ensure you are fully trained and confident with each individual client and importantly you are given plenty of time on visits so you have time to be not just a caregiver but a companion. They also create such a warm space within the office so you always have somewhere to go be it venting about hard times or celebrating something you have going on in your life. If you are a people person with a passion for caring then I can’t think of a better place to work than Home Instead South Manchester. I joined on a part-time basis with short term in mind but have no plans to leave in the near or distant future.

Wonderful company to work for, good training before you go out and a good shadowing plan, they don't just throw you in at the deep end! So far, I've had just the best clients, some more challenging but overall you have the support from a fab office team! I've made some lovely friends and the rates are very good, flexible hrs to suit you. An excellent company to work for, I wish I'd decided to work in care sooner!
