I am absolutely delighted with my teeth & i would recommend northernden house orthodontics to anybody who needs their teeth realigning - the expertise of the orthodontists & the friendly & helpful staff made the whole experience pleasant & stress free.
After a few years of deliberation, i began my orthodontic treatment with northenden house orthodontics (nho) in april 2022 following a recommendation. although my treatment is ongoing, i am writing this review now because there are a few things i want to share for the benefit of others who may be considering treatment at nho. i will update the review once my treatment is complete. to begin with the positives: 1) all of the staff members are super professional and very friendly. i have always been made to feel very comfortable and welcome and nothing is too much trouble. 2) whenever i have any problems (those pesky poky wires!) they are absolutely brilliant and fit me in for an appointment very quickly. 3) their clinic is very clean and just overall a lovely place. 4) every staff member - from those at reception to those in the treatment rooms - all treat me really well and with respect and professionalism. there is a consistent professional approach. 5) it is very interesting to see the journey of my teeth after having had overcrowded and crooked teeth all my life. i can wholeheartedly recommend nho 100% without any reservations. now for a few general comments/observations: a) it's hard to get hold of them on the phone as they don't answer a lot of the time but they are quick to respond via email. b) before i got my braces fitted we discussed two teeth straightening options; fixed & invisalign. my orthodontist advised that i would need the fixed braces. although we discussed that, we didn't discuss what type of fixed ones i would be getting - metal or ceramic. as i was initially quite shy, i didn't ask, and the orthodontist didn't ask me either. so i was given ceramic braces. i initially didn't like them because they're kind of invisible but not completely. so they look a bit odd. and with time they started staining. and i also like the metal brace look. i fretted and mulled over this and was generally quite anxious for a while and then before one of my appointments, i emailed them explaining that i wanted to change the ceramic braces for metal ones. they advised me to discuss it with the orthodontist during my next appointment. when i went in for my appointment the orthodontist asked me about it. i mentioned the issues (didn't like the look, and staining). she offered alternatives but i wasn't keen. luckily at this point i only had the top ones on so she kindly replaced them for me free of charge. and i couldn't be happier. i absolutely love my metal braces and also love all the different colour options. so my suggestion is, ask exactly which braces you're going to be getting so you know what to expect. c) once i got my metal braces fitted, although i knew you can get colours i didn't exactly know how it works. and i wasn't offered colours. and again, too shy to ask. i asked a friend who said i just need to tell them i want colours - which i did. and they happily showed me the colours. i now get asked at every appointment what colour i want. d) they ask you about your colours whilst you're lying down so it's an idea to take a picture of their colour options and then choose from home. so when you're put on the spot - whilst horizontal - you're ready with your answer. i feel it's an important decision because you keep those bands for 6 weeks. points a-d are just a few of my experiences along the way which i have mentioned here for the benefit of the reader/s (if anyone can be bothered reading through all of this :d) overall, i am very very happy with nho and honestly i would say, if you're thinking about it, go for it. i've got dr norah who is lovely. very professional, polite, accommodating and makes me feel very comfortable. but as mentioned, they're all like that. after many years, my once unachievable dream is coming true. thank you nho for making it possible.
Very friendly and such a helpful team of staff. felt less clinical than other places. ellie and amy were friendly, chatty, reassuring and informative. really pleased with the result, would highly recommend.
I highly recommend dr sara hosni and the team at northenden house orthodontics for orthodontic treatment. she is very professional and knowledgeable and really listened to my concerns during my braces journey. ellie and amy also looked after me during my appointments, and the reception staff provided an excellent service too. a big thank you for everything!
Even after more than 4 years from completing treatment the practice treats you very well. broke my permanent retainer and was going to go on holiday the day after managed to fit me in straight away with 2 lovely ladies amanda and esmie who did exceptional work and sorted me out hopefully for the next 4 years and more, very pleased with their work and the practice in general and highly recommend.
