After a lifetime career in teaching, i found myself facing a huge secret dossier of unfounded, malicious allegations, and feared that my reputation could be destroyed in a single stroke. at that dreadful moment, i hardly knew what to think or where to turn. contesting the case looked like a formidable and expensive process, but the alternative was to allow the tra (teaching regulation agency) to rubber stamp the supposed "evidence" and ban me from teaching for life. this i absolutely could not accept. however, i knew that i did not have the knowledge, experience or confidence to defend myself. i felt utterly alone and in despair. the day i got in touch with jared mcnally, i began to hope again. throughout 3 long years of (covid) delays, his wealth of experience, professional competence, and down to earth approach gave me the assurance i desperately needed. i had no idea of how this frightening and intimidating process would unfold, but jared’s experience enabled him to make the system transparent and manageable. he broke the process into manageable sections, guiding me patiently through each step. he never failed to consult with me at any stage, or to respond to me within the day - sometimes even within the hour. he often suggested different courses of action for me to choose. this helped me to begin to reconnect to the confident, independent, proactive person i had once been. he drafted and re-drafted documents, dealt with the tra, and recommended a superb barrister to represent me at the hearing. expense was a big consideration for me, but he always told me in advance the exact costs involved at each stage. thanks to the combined efforts of jared and his barrister colleague, every single allegation was thrown out even before the hearing commenced. the pre-hearing panel wrote that "none of the evidence indicates a finding of unprofessional conduct, even at the lowest level. we therefore find there is no case to answer." as the hearing did not take place, there is no public record of the whole ghastly business. i can put this dreadful experience behind me and get on with my life. thanks to jared’s clear advice, guidance, and support, the school was ultimately unable to destroy my reputation, and i was able to regain my confidence, self esteem and professional identity. no one can put a price on those things. despite it being a significant investment for me, i can honestly say that it was worth every penny. i can never thank jared enough for what he did for me and would wholeheartedly recommend his services to anyone facing a similar dilemma.
