Lovely find. great selection and variety of seafood on the menu. would have been nice to hear the specials of the day. the squid starter is exquisite - lovely crispy coating, served on a bed of rocket, chilli and spring onion, and siracha mayo. the prawns were huge, lovely garlic butter and sourdough bread. octopus was slightly chewy but great charred smoky flavour. whole sea bream was cooked perfectly, fresh and delicious. triple cooked chips definitely top notch, as were the padron peppers. would definitely come again.
The food is tasty, tiny bit heavy handed on salt but i don’t mind as i like it. halibut was flaky and nice, same was fish and chips. wasn’t very impressed by oysters as i found some shell means not cleaned properly.
We really enjoyed the food at the oyster catcher. the grilled octopus starter was perfectly cooked and the moules frites were the best we have ever had. it was our first visit but won't be our last
Randomly found this amazing place for seafood. cozy environment and friendly staff. food was delicious and great portion. highly recommend! p.s the price on the menu was not include vat. it still worth the price inc vat though :p
