Cyfarthfa Castle Museum and Art Gallery

Fantastic day out with the kids. Beautiful grounds with a lovely large lake. The mini trains were affordable and a nice surprise and loved the museum which was also very affordable. Brilliant and helpful staff all ground. Its a great day out for a picnic with the family.

Castle, lake, trail walk, playground for kids and cafe are all well maintained and looks great. Perfect for a day trip from Cardiff. Train service from Cardiff is frequent and hopefully soon will get the new tram trains as well. Its about 25 minutes walk from the station. The cafe has good views and has clean toilet facilities.
