Empire Cafe

This has to be my favourite place in Newbury. The bakery is the oldest in town, their lardy cake is legendary. Food is freshly cooked and you are always welcomed with a smile. This is a traditional cafe, wholesome, cooked food and fantastic cakes

A lovely old fashioned cafe and bakery. It has the beams and ambience of an ancient dwelling and the owner has lived there all her life. We had a pleasant lunch and conversation in what must be a real cornerstone of Newbury life.
