Well worth the effort to find. small collection, but some great pieces. worth visiting for the schwitters exhibit alone. ask to see the schwitter portrait in the study room.
Really enjoyed the wilhemina barns-graham exhibition today. fascinating to see how her work gradually became more abstract. the hatton always has interesting and stimulating exhibitions on. my favourite gallery.
Stunning modern art collections in a beautiful building. attended an end of year review showcasing student works which was stimulating, very different, and perhaps showcasing a future master....
I love this place. i visit it all the time. my recent visit was to the british abstract artist wilhelmina barns-graham. wilhelmina barns-graham (1912 – 2004) was a leading member of the st ives school of artists who contributed to the advancement of british abstract art in the 20th century. i love her work
