Barking Mad Dog Training

We attended the 4 week puppy class with our labrador puppy ginny. it was a fantastic course and really informative. it also helped with her concentration around other dogs and we have seen a massive improvement with her since the classes. would definitely recommend to other puppy owners

We contacted donna in regards to our 1yo german shepherd who we had only recently rehomed as we were struggling with leash training, reactivity and a few other general behavioural issues. donna was fantastic in taking the time to sit with us and take a full history of everything we knew about our gsd’s previous home and everything we wanted to address etc in sessions. donna was really approachable and didn’t judge or make us feel like bad owners for feeling so out of our depth. we booked regular sessions with donna and communication between sessions was consistent and very helpful. in session donna never physically took the lead off of me and instead clearly instructed me on how to handle my gsd myself. she took time to explain what she wanted me to do, what to recognise in my gsd’s behaviour during the sessions and was great at explaining why we were doing certain things and why my gsd behaved in certain ways. the sessions we had gave us a toolkit of skills and knowledge to work with outside of session and because i understood what was expected of me and my gsd, i felt confident in my ability to manage him outside of sessions. donna was always great at helping between sessions and encouraged us to send video updates of our training at home for her to see our progress and offer any constructive criticism or improvements on techniques etc. i would recommend donna and barking mad to anyone looking for a 1:1 canine behaviourist for their dog.

Donna and summer provided excellent training for our labrador puppy - both with in person sessions and on zoom, as well as lots of resources and videos etc. two years later, donna is still always available and helping us if we run into tricky behaviours and always happy to be contacted for advice! would highly recommend - thank you!

Donna has been working with us to help my black lab build up some confidence. she has helped me understand how to read my dogs body language better and what my dog needs me to do to help her when we are out on walks. i am continuing with all the advice and tips donna has given me and can progress after a few weeks. i would not hesitate to recommend donna.

Donna has been amazing, so so helpful and insightful with our rescue cockerpoo. he was having reactive issues due mainly to fear and resource gaurding issues. being able to understand what he is thinking and why has really helped us and him! she recommended an amazing groomer which has made a huge difference too. can’t recommend donna enough, she completely understands dogs and is a great advocate for them. it is great to work with someone who puts the dogs needs first and supports you all the way.
