Contacted Stowe Family Law for help with access to our granddaughter because we didn’t feel like we had a voice representing ourselves. I recently used David Allen from Stowe to help with increasing access to my daughter, which was beginning to be limited after separation from her mother. The goal I set David from the start was to guide me to achieving a 50/50 shared care arrangement for my Daughter. We successfully achieved this in advance of a final hearing which was a great relief to me. The process is extremely stressful (nothing to do with David or Stowe) and David guided me expertly throughout. David counselled me against actions that he believed would be detrimental and he was not afraid to give me advice I didn't want to hear because he knew it was best in the long run. I was most impressed with David's focus on what was best for my daughter - Had my ex cooperated more reasonably David's advice would have saw his appointment reduced in favour of a quicker resolution for my daughter. David's commitment to my daughter's wellbeing was communicated rationally and clearly through all the documents he produced. I believe this was a factor in my ex and her solicitor conceding to a 50/50 shared care agreement before a final hearing as they could not produce an effective counter argument. From a father's perspective this process is hard and often unfair, its essential you receive the correct advice as one wrong step could cost you everything. I got the advice I needed from David and I now see my daughter every week and weekend with no more risk of her mother stopping this.
