Jamie is an outstanding and inspiring teacher. my son had no guitar experience at all but within just a short time jamie gave him great confidence. jamie is extremely friendly , very efficient and above all enthusiastic about the pleasure playing a guitar brings. i would recommend him highly.
Had my second vocal lesson with jamie today and he is so encouraging. i'm seriously enjoying the exercises and him sharing the tricks he has up his sleeve. would recommend to anyone wanting to improve their singing skills no matter the circumstance or style
Jamie is the most encouraging teacher i have ever had. he makes the lessons fun and has a bottomless box of practice exercises and techniques. he knows his stuff and he delivers it with a friendly cheerful approach. i have been playing guitar for a few years. last year i started taking singing lessons with jamie to complement my playing. the improvement in my singing quality and my singing enjoyment started from the very first lesson. after a few months i was able to sing songs that in the past i would only play but not sing because they were out of my range or were too technical for me. this is still happening after a year. the progress is measurable every week. i now watch and listen to home recordings of my singing before my lessons with jamie and i am amazed by the difference. i heartfully recommend his lessons
Jamie is a great teacher, very professional, patient, approachable and encouraging. his lessons are never dull, so if you're looking to (dramatically) improve your singing whilst having fun, jamie is the right person for you!
I plucked up the courage to have an introductory/assessment session with jamie after being told over 40 years ago that i couldn't sing. i felt very vulnerable and it was a scary thing to contemplate, after all our voice is fundamentally personal. after taking me through some vocal exercises and theory, jamie asked me to sing a song. by then, i was quite 'uplifted', so happy to do it. i've no idea how it really sounded, but i was told that i actually had good pitch, and left at the end feeling very happy! that was over 18 months ago and i continue to have weekly lessons. it's going to take a while to build my ability and confidence enough to actually perform, but the support and encouragement is invaluable. anyone considering taking singing lessons - just do it! you'll be glad that you did!
