Walked through here to visit tge wylam brewery. despite the gloomy weather, it seemed like a nice ace with a large lake.
Great night at the wylam brewery soul night. well organized and lovely venue. only thing is the prices of drinks are very expensive. i know it's a specialist brewery etc. but some pints are £7 and £7.50 each. don't know what spirits were. very expensive for newcastle.
Enjoyed our walk through the park, hadn't realised there was a brewery here and enjoyed a beer in the garden. also interesting to watch the local engineers with their narrow gauge railway engines.
Have one of the most beautiful and quiet little lake i have even seen here. cafe, green grasses, ducks, trees, flowers. what do you want? ah many muddy holes there if you are a p-pig fans…take your wellington boot.
This park is very popular place for families with young children as you have a large open grass area where you can have picnics, a caffè and children's play area all next to each other. the park also has five tennis courts, a basketball court, a fitness zone and a croquet lawn. there is a small lake with waterfowl and a nice little water feature. at the north end you can access the town moor and on the east side a subway takes you across to brandling park which is very small by comparison.
