Great night at the Wylam Brewery Soul Night. Well organized and lovely venue. Only thing is the prices of drinks are very expensive. I know it's a specialist brewery etc. But some pints are £7 and £7.50 each. Don't know what spirits were. Very expensive for Newcastle.
Enjoyed our walk through the park, hadn't realised there was a brewery here and enjoyed a beer in the garden. Also interesting to watch the local engineers with their narrow gauge railway engines.
Have one of the most beautiful and quiet little lake I have even seen here. Cafe, green grasses, ducks, trees, flowers. What do you want? Ah many muddy holes there if you are a p-pig fans…Take your Wellington boot.
This park is very popular place for families with young children as you have a large open grass area where you can have picnics, a Caffè and Children's play area all next to each other. The Park also has five tennis courts, a basketball court, a fitness zone and a croquet lawn. There is a small lake with waterfowl and a nice little water feature. At the north end you can access the town Moor and on the East side a subway takes you across to Brandling Park which is very small by comparison.
