Made a point of logging on to review after i took billy my young westie for his nails trimmed. billy is petrified of his nails cut as the girls soon became aware, they were extremely comforting to my dog and cool as a cucumber doing what i find to be a very stressful task. they then spoiled him with cuddles, strokes and as many treats as he wanted. also a very old westie was in beside him being groomed, and the affection towards her was outstanding. 5 stars.
Took 2 dogs here for nails clipped and honestly was dissatisfied as they barely took any nail off .wouldn't ever go back honestly disappointed 😥 by the way this was a few months ago and now i have to go to four paws x
So happy after taking my shih tzu puppy in for a groom. he is a puppy who likes to play, run, roll around in the mud. his coat was getting too long and the dirt and brambles always sticking to him. he looks soooooooo much better now. thanks so much to the lady who saw to brady today. i almost cried with happiness when i saw him :) what he looked like typically before, and after photos attached ;)
I took in my pomeranian, and asked for the mane to be left untouched, and just a sort of ‘split ends cut’. they cut a lot into the lower mane, and left the higher mane, so it’s notably disproportionate, looking a bit silly, but they did really well bathing her, and did brilliantly getting all the dead hair out, and shaping her body, but this mistake on the mane area stopped it from being absolutely perfect outcome, so, to get perfection, make sure to be very specific [if there’s areas you don’t want touched or shaped specifically, i’d say]. they were very nice, and reliable time-wise. she also had massive matting behind the ears, because the breeder didn’t warn us about how that develops, and cheryl got that out safely with clippers perfectly. they also gave us some highly valuable at home tips for the difficult pom hair. note: they don’t, after trimming the nails, use a file [to smooth them] — i’m not sure any normal groomer does. when she was playing with a new toy later that night — it was too big, granted — she cut her cornea, and i almost had to take her out-of-hours to the vet, but it healed in 2 hours. i’d do a filing at home yourself, after, or request they do it (i’m not sure they do) if you have a very playful toy breed.
