Best taxi in Newcastle. We wouldn't use any other. Always on time with good friendly drivers. Ten out of ten.

Today's journey was perfect. Prompt, excellent driver, totally satisfactory service. HOWEVER, I use Nearby many times per month, generally on the same journey, either way, but many much longer journeys for others as well as myself. I'm extremely angry that, 9 times out of 10, when the journey ends, and I watch the driver clear his meter. When I get the actual price notification, it is invariably 10p or 20p more than the meter reading. On at least 3 occasions I have contacted your office when this has happened. Invariably I book my taxis outside of normal office hours. The person I speak to tells me that they will will pass my concerns on to the accounts department. They tell me that they (the accounts dep.) will ring me during normal office hours to discuss the matter. THEY NEVER DO!!! I was an Landsdowne/LA driver for nearly 30 years so can someone please address my concerns. I would estimate that, in the last year alone, these 10p and 20p OVERCHARGES have cost me at least £25. I look forward to see what happens next and whether this "survey" is a load of hot air or is actually taken seriously. I suspect, the former!

Had to take my kitty to the vets, the driver picked me up both trips there and back. He was really patient while I got the carrier in and out, was very kind about my kitty who I was worried about and to me. Really, really friendly and felt like nothing was too much trouble. I paid for my trip online before the taxi showed. So happy. Thank you so much! Will make sure to only use LA moving forwards, I now have the app too which I find helpful to track the cabs.
