Summerlee Museum of Scottish Industrial Life

A real hidden Gem! Lots to do with first class exhibits and lovely grounds - and all this for free! Tram was not running when I visited, but I did mange to get down the mine (there was a small £2 charge for this) which was excellent. Will definitely be coming back.

Excellent museum with interesting exhibits. And it's free! Good play park, and you can do a circular walk. Only let-down is the cafe. Staff were lovely, but the food on offer was your standard fare. I so wish councils over here would visit …
