Laurel Park

Went 4a walk around North Shields fish quay came across this Gem,A statue of Stan Laurel one of the all times GREAT OF COMEDY with his partner OLIVER HARDY Brought joy and happiness 2 a lot of people, Has no swings and roundabouts or slides for the children. Mainly used by dog walkers.

Went to see the waxwings. Smaller park than I'd expected. Nice statue of Stan Laurel. Lots of photographers due to the birds. A few benches to perch on and enjoy the sun if it shines.

A great place to view visiting waxwings feeding on the berry's in November, also a statue of the Great Stan laurel who once lived there and apparently came up with the idea for the famous piano scene in 'the music box'from the steep steps from the quay side up to the park.
